A 50 Year-Old Renal Insufficiency Patient Recovers

Two years ago, Mr Wang got a cold in winter, and found protein in urine. Then, he went to the local hospital and was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Through another examination, he also was told to have high blood pressure. What’s worse, high blood pressure has lasted for 8 years, which caused kidney disease. So with doctor’s guidance, he took treatment, which was mainly about western medicine and western therapy. Two months later, after an examination, the report showed the protein in urine was negative, so he discharge from the local hospital and went on to work again.

The report was as follows: oliguria, edema in legs, blood pressure: 170/95mmHg. The eyelids had edema as well. Renal function examination showed that BUN:18mmol/L, Cr:387umol/L, UA 700umol/L, Hb80g/L, protein in urine: two pluses. The B ultrasound showed that the two kidney shrinked. So he was diagnosed with Renal Failure with high blood pressure.
